I am a technical apparel designer focused on developing function-driven product for outdoor, hunting, and performance environments. My work centers on translating field use, user feedback, and environmental demands into durable, production-ready garments and soft goods systems.
I specialize in end-to-end product development—from concept and material research through pattern development, prototyping, and final production refinement. My design process is grounded in real-world application, with an emphasis on fit, mobility, durability, and manufacturability.
Over the course of my career, I have contributed to product development across brands including KUIU, Filson, and Cabela’s, working on outerwear, technical layering systems, and performance-driven soft goods. These roles have required balancing design intent with factory constraints, cost targets, and field performance requirements.
My focus is not on trend-driven design, but on solving specific problems: improving articulation in high-movement zones, increasing abrasion resistance in critical wear areas, optimizing fit systems for layering, and ensuring products perform consistently in demanding outdoor conditions.
I work comfortably across sketching, CAD development, technical flat creation, material selection, and sample evaluation. I am most effective in environments where design decisions are expected to hold up under real-world use.
