About
When I create visual works, I also like to create a story. This helps my work have emotion behind it that I use to help guide the viewers through each piece that I make. Some say that I make extra work for myself, but I believe that it is worth it. My time as a design student has taught me the value of putting in more time and energy into your work than is expected. It is not uncommon that I was the only one in my Digital Design studio working on weekends and holidays. Going above and beyond has consistently improved the quality of my work at NJIT.

BA Digital DesignCollege of Architecture and Design2009 - 2015I began my journey through the New Jersey Institute of Technology through the Educational Opportunity Program, which taught me valuable lessons about discipline, working hard, and pushing yourself beyond what you think you are capable of doing. In my first year, my initiative to create a newsletter for the new NJIT Anime club helped me become the club's first historian, and the newsletters were used to advertise and increase club membership. In my later years at NJIT, I used the same technique to help the new ACM SIGGRAPH club, and helped their social media pages. I also worked in the library for the College of Architecture and Design, and helped ESL high school students as a teacher's assistant in the Upward Bound program.

Teacher’s AssistantJul 2015 - Aug 2015 (1 month)o Provided tutorial assistance in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, the language arts, and reading comprehension on an individual or group basis.
o Served as an aid to the teacher in a classroom setting:
o Assisted the program counselor in the planning and evaluation of the tutoring and Saturday instructional classes.
o Advised program director on matters pertaining to the progress of students enrolled in the tutorial program and/or Saturday instructional classes
o Functioned as role models.
o Assisted the program director in other program related activities (field trips, seminars, office work, etc.) -
Student Assistant in ArchitectureOct 2014 - Apr 2015 (6 months)o Checked books in and out, processed reserve books and materials and dispensed them to students.
o Logged-in newly arrived journals re-shelved books, magazines, maps, and slides using Google Sheets.
o Answered the telephone.
o Maintained copy machines (e.g., clearing paper jams, loading paper, giving refunds, etc.)
