Rebecca Mercado

I'm an innovative, hard working, creative thinker who enjoys challenges, exceeding expectations, and also learning new ways to accomplish tasks. I thoroughly enjoy wearing many hats as I've needed to during my 25+ years in the Toy Industry. I currently work for a company giving me the opportunity to conceptualize, design, develop with the orient, and then present my product and ultimately sell to customers. I've designed soft and hard toys and product categories. I've had to consider costing throughout the development process, working directly with the factories to negotiate, reduce, and consider other alternatives to offer a competitively priced product. In addition to designing the product, I also consider the packaging and identify what type or structure would best present the product while keeping it within the cost constraints. I look forward to future challenges wherever my career may take me.
