Rohan Cannon

I am a Robotics and Mechatronics Engineer from Swinburne University with a Biomedical Engineering Minor and a Masters in Engineering Management from RMIT. I completed the theoretical portion of my degree in 2010 and undertook work experience with a Hazardous Area, Electrical Engineering Design Company. I now work in mechanical design, for a sheet metal fabricator.

I have a great passion for electronic and mechanical design. I find the combination of

the two traditionally separate disciplines provides great challenges and accompanying rewards. I have designed, refined and constructed a number of systems/subsystems requiring the integration of these areas on small and large scale applications.

I have experience with microcontrollers and PLC’s, a variety of CAD software including

Solidworks, AutoCAD and have even taught myself some basics of Altium. I always enjoyed getting involved in extracurricular activities as a student, including the sumo robot competitions.
