On the team that created Gainesville Magazine in 2003. Created magazine's graphic identity, templates and styles.The magazine served as a model for 13 other New York Times Regional Group magazines and won the Times' highest award for innovation. * Implemented total redesign in 2013. * Responsible for cover design, art direction, page design and planning of magazine. * Collaborate with editor, writers and photographers for art ideas. * Create photo-illustrations for stories/covers and select appropriate stock art as needed * Ensure artwork is print or web-ready using color-correction and retouching techniques. * Responsible for prepress output, proofing and final approval. * Create digital version of the magazine, maintain archives as well as providing final copy and art for posting to Gainesville Magazine website. * Produce marketing materials for the magazine (posters, invitations, house-ads, awards). * Post regular updates to magazine's Facebook page.
