Missing Stripes - Give a man a fish He’ll eat it and fall asleep. Teach a man to fish He’ll endanger entire species. Tiger moving towards endangerment is the key here! Does the thought itself not leave you in Blues!? The idea is to capture the thought.

Inspiration - The country is in archaic blues; remembering that we have had a great loss and we should be in blues of the deceased so that now on there are no blues! So the dying and disappearing of an animal that can protect, can guard and can kill, the Tiger; invokes me to contribute to the cause. Nor that I am yelling “save tigers’; neither am I trying to create any kind of awareness, it is just an inner neccessity as Richard Bartholomew calls the creative process!

The Concept - Bringing the missing stripes of the nature to the collection, involving them in a play of dimension, density and color, where the placement is kept dynamic. Capturing this play in the bodies of silk and conveying it through colors and textures forms the base of the collection.

The Details - The Look: A very classy and dressy look , not exuberant, is being kept in the mind. Graceful and regal. Exclusive elegant chic. The Client: The stately elite uptown people. They have an aristocratic style; highly polished and dignified. The Occassion: Day parties and events like lawn parties, tea parties, afternoon wedding parties, theme parties or late sunset parties. Unlike picnics, these can be prestigious events.

Garment 1 - Ombre dress with embroidered stripes forming the assymmetrical stand collar, and thinning as they go towards the bottom.

Garment 2 - Ombre kimono dress and kimono jacket. Kimono dress with a peg formation in the skirt. Jacket showing depletion of color gradually through the various panels; the front circular opening showing the subtraction of the stripes..

Garment 3 - Corset jumpsuit with stripes on the corset and pleated voluminous pants. Stripes on the corset fading towards down with the orange color on the top; suggesting the cause.
