I am a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a BFA in Accessory Design. However, don't let the degree fool you. While my education was concentrated in handbag and footwear design, I have a fun creative background which includes: product ideation, product design, identifying customer needs and expectations, innovation in brand experience, and elevating brand and product perception. BFA Accessory DesignSavannah College of Art and Design2011 - 2015Everyone always asks me how I got into design shoes, so I thought I’d answer the question. I started out pursuing architecture, but changed my mind pretty quickly. I ended up taking an industrial design class and fell in love with a project where we had to design a pair of shoes. From that class I changed my major to accessory design where I studied: concept development, trend analysis, sketching, handbag and footwear design, patternmaking, and sewing. Presentations were also quite frequent.

Presented current trends, concepts, and production styles for each brand, each season. Identified opportunities within existing market.
Pitched two additional brands which were greenlighted.
Worked on ad campaign for Facebook Ads and built Shopify website for private label brand.
Met directly with buyers from major retailers to discuss customer trends.
Maintained Excel spreadsheet of sample development, ship dates, and factory comments.
