Part time Art Teacher for challenged and low-income youth grades 1-5. My job as an art teacher is to create a safe place for learning new skills and to inspire and enable them to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens through the development of a positive self-image and self-reliance.
I organize projects based around art history as well a global influences and artists from around the world.
We use such mediums as: painting, drawing and sketching, mixed media, pottery, jewelry making, and more.
I teach the kids about plants, plant life, gardening, soil amenities, composting and healthy eating through the work I do within the Swegle Boys and Girls Club Community Garden. Its a lot of fun and even when we wear gloves we always love getting our hands dirty.

Working abroad to help with various community development projects including Ending Child Labor, HIV/AIDS Women’s Leadership Product Design and Photography, and part-time Volunteer Art Director and Youth Leader.
While here I am also assisting with marketing graphics for web and print as well as T-shirt screen-print designs for non-profit events.
