Ty Alexandria

Working as an intern at Kevan Hall I have the incredible opportuni- ty to work closely with the talented Kevan Hall, and assist him with any current projects he is working on. This includes, auditioning models for photoshoots, assisting during photoshoots, creating lookbooks, sourcing fabric, creating mood boards, attending fabric shows and much more.

I had the amazing opportunity to work backstage as a dresser for a Rick Owens' fashion week runway shows for several seasons. My job was to properly prepare and dress models several looks, and make sure they got into their garments quickly and correctly. I also worked in his showroom, assisting wholesale representatives with clients and making sure all garments were orderly and organized.

Traveling across the U.S representing RAPP Black through trade shows as well as trunk shows at Bloomingdales. I also worked in customer service, personally assisting clients with any needs. In addition, I opened new accounts, processed orders, and assisted production with shipments.

Initially I began as an intern, and now I currently work along side the Yana K Fashion Group team. My job consist of applying to trade shows and organizing applications and materials necessary for participating in trade shows. Attending the shows and working with clients to open new account and place orders. I also processed orders, handled billing, assisted production with shipping orders, communicated with the cutters and sewings, and more. In addition, I worked as a salesperson in our boutique, maintaining customer relations and presenting merchandise to new customers as well.

Working as part of Carnegie Mellon's School of Drama, and helping costume design students with sewing, creating and styling accessories for the actors, choosing looks from a vault of costumes, helping actors get dressed, and with costume changes backstage before and during the shows.

Studied abroad at Korea University taking Fashion Portfolio Construction and Fashion Draping classes.

I designed a line of 9 designs which reflected the characteristics of each personality disorder. Involved creating a portfolio designing and sewing all 9 garments and participating a runway show.

Communicating with patients helping them sign in and make sure they are comfortable before their therapy sessions.
