Lollapalooza Poster
In the 2023 Lollapalooza music festival poster, I explored a “Typeless Typography” layout for the calendar, made recognizable without the use of actual numbers. The calendar is made up of geometric shapes: a circle signifying a weekday and a square representing a weekend. The calendar composition serves as both a major design element and a structural system.
I designed using the typographic measurement system with consideration of alignment, hierarchy and legibility. The application of other textual and photographic information captures the vitality of the event.
