BlockABloom’s mission is to create an elevated experience for the user as they independently learn about and report harmful algae blooms in their community lakes.
The Germany-based startup Hydroguard UG, has developed innovative bio-monitors capable of assessing water quality in real time using custom sensor technologies. Our interdisciplinary citizen science app additionally engages the public in water preservation and protection by offering free tools to estimate algal growth in local waters using Auto-X sensor technology, report water conditions, and learn about toxic algal blooms.
By simplifying complex information, our app seeks to ensure the safety and awareness of the public while contributing valuable data to our research partners.
Figma was used for storyboarding and lo-fidelity wireframing. The final prototype was developed in Xcode.
