I was a social media manager for the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Business Summit 2019 in Nairobi, an annual 2-day business conference hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce Kenya (AMCHAM Kenya).
My core role was to provide copywriting, social media marketing, email marketing and community management services to the client. This involved curating informative social media captions, placing & monitoring social ads, deploying promotional emails and responding to comments & messages. Live social media event coverage was a key service I offered to the client during the summit. I also created and deployed email updates & e-newsletters to the client's audience.
My contribution as the client's social media manager resulted in an impressive event attendance rate of over 80% and an online audience growth rate of 30%.
