Chair Project
As one of the more famous projects in our ciriculum, we had been thinking about our chair designs since before the quarter started. I was very interested in making a chair out of a non-traditional material or using a traditional one in a non-traditional way.
After I heard that the previous lightest chair on our school's record was 12lbs, I found the challenge I needed. I designed my chair of aluminium tubing and parachute cord, woven into a seat. My chair broke the record with 5.5lbs.
