MFA Industrial Design
California College of the Arts
2014 - 2017
I received a MFA in Design with a focus of Industrial Design. Thesis project explored the concept and feasibility of an inflatable bicycle helmet. Hand built prototype performed well on an EN 1078 drop test at only 34% of maximum allowable g-force. The concept allows for unprecedented space saving while pushing protection further due to its shift from stiff materials to flexible ones. While studying, I was a teaching assistant for both History of Design and Design Studio II. I also took on the roll of studio manager responsible organization, safety and upkeep of tools such as 3D printer.

Continuing education "Advanced Drawing for Product Design".
B.S Industrial Design
2006 - 2010
Transitioned from Mechanical Engineering to Industrial Design, a self made major combining Engineering with Studio Arts and Environmental Studies. The three perspectives complimented each other, allowing me to have a unique and well grounded view of design and macro views.
