Moiré Pendant
This pendant tricks your senses into thinking the shimmering center is as solid as crystal despite being completely empty. The nature of this project allowed me to organically arrive at the moiré effect and experiment with treating it as a material. In order to maximize the effect, I chose glossy white and matte black to create the highest contrast possible. I then tested different meshes to achieve optimal results. A narrow lens allows light the scrape the center core and reflect outward 360 degrees.
