Ajit Panigrahi

I am Ajit Panigrahi (popularly known as AJ). Professionally I am a user experience designer and web developer residing in the Twin Cities area. I've been involved in web design and development since my schooling when I designed my high school website. What first drew me to the web was the incredible scope and free, democratic nature of this new medium.

Since that time I've grown a great deal, as has the web itself. Gone are the days of "Best Viewed in Netscape 4.0" and slicing up images to fit into the table based layout that you slaved over for hours. Today and web is more mature and pragmatic. We build sites while adding advanced forward looking functionality, preserving backwards compatibility and keeping in mind SEO and accessibility concerns. Web designers are no longer just magicians that can make text and images appear on our browser screens. The web designer of today is part artist, psychologist, business man and advocate.
