Designing a new table top should be simple right? Not in this project. Design a new table top was the project but how the final concept came to being took patience.
Started off with ideation sketching and many revisions. Once the final revision was chosen from peers it under went several orthographic drawings to come up with how to make this table top.
The lamp part of the project was a personal challenge and not part of the assignment deliverable.
The concept was made into a MDF mould to make the table top out of vacuum formed plastic.
The Lego table was made to interact with young children. It has 3 bins for Lego bricks and 2 brick plates to build onto. When there's little to no light the lamp shines on to provide more hours of fun.
