My name is Alice Chen. I am an industrial designer with 5+ years of experience currently working at ASUSTek Computer, Taipei, Taiwan. Design is my passion, I was always into drawing and making things when I was a kid.
I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. At the age of 13, I moved to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada to complete my high school degree. I then pursued my college degree in Seattle, Washington, USA at University of Washington. After graduating with a BFA degree in industrial design at UW, I moved back to my home country Taiwan and began my career as an industrial designer.
With 10 years of study abroad experience, I am fluent in both English and Mandarin, read and write. My relevant qualifications include 5+ years of experience in the tech industry and a BFA Degree in Industrial Design. My educational background has given me a solid understanding of product design. During my time at ASUS, I was involved with various mass production projects including smartphone, Padfone, Transformer book, Taichi and consumer notebook designs. With almost 6 years working at ASUS Computer, I have a strong working knowledge of the fast-paced tech industry. As a senior industrial designer at ASUS, I am responsible for tasks as pre-study design workshops to mass production projects. I am familiar with design styling and also manufacturing processes and limitations. My skills are current and I am up-to-date on the latest trend in the industry.
