Alistair Rance

The underpinning exploration in my current art practice is the examination repeated forms. I am interested in creating compositions on canvas that are built up of the repetition of variations of a single motif, such as the rectangle or more currently the usage of the line . My Art practice negotiates varying influences of the built environment such as sprawl, pattern, repetition and congestion. Currently I am dealing with abstract patterns based on suburban sprawl.
