    · Technical skills: Abilities to create tech packs (include specifications, material breakdown including consumption and duty rates) and commitment sheets. Implementation of all product details including: construction, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, trim placement, etc. Create/manipulate/ understand artwork and color direction, and research products and trends to bring better ideas on the table and knowledge of material/ fabric specifications and construction .

    · Customer Skills: Ability to generate sound relationships with manufacturers and merchandising groups.

    · Emerging Trends: I have an eye for next-season styles, and I can work with the merchant groups to design the right products to meet upcoming trends, as well as marketing and merchandising groups.

    · Communication: I can communicate and present ideas and product concepts to internal & external audiences.

    · Negotiation: I have experience dealing with overseas suppliers for my own handbag venture, so I have a good feel of what to expect and how to deal with unexpected issues as well as understanding the value of goods and services.
