KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Fully responsible for design and product development process for allocated brand accounts including seasonal trend offerings,re-offers based on previous seasons sales,all-year-round offerings etc.
Inspiration Interpretation:Understanding buyer requirements.Breaking down trends from buyer inspiration ,taking into consideration brand identity, production feasibility and innovation.
Forecast Research: Compiling and Identifying emerging product trends from Forecast Publications, WGSN etc.
Market Study: Conducting Market Research in order to find emerging product, design, surface techniques and fabric trends. Studying latest trend directions and offerings of competing brands.
Data Analysis: Analyzing previous season’s sales and creating re-offers based on best sold styles.
R& D:Conduct innovative developments including embroidery, fabric textures, prints, washes as well as silhouette variations, pattern developments etc.
Design Developments: Designing according to Brand Profile and buyer inspiration, including silhouette and construction details, color combinations, graphics and embroidery techniques and surface developments. Selection of Fabric, colour, wash etc.
Sample Development: Accountable for prompt and effective tracking, trouble-shooting and co-ordination through various phases like lab-dips, artworks, wash and embroidery strike-offs, fit samples, mocks, stitching, modifications, washing and finishing.
Buyer Presentation: Actual:In charge of organising collection according to relevant categories. Coordinating Trend/Mood based Visual Display.
Virtual: Presenting collection in organized, clear and attractive manner using software applications such as CORELDRAW, Photoshop etc.
Systems Development: Responsible for developing systems for clear, streamlined work flow, management, presentation, filing and documentation for entire team, including process tracking sheet, fabric and trims log, style history log etc.
