Aristotelis Barakos

was born in 1984 in Munich, Germany where I lived throughout my childhood. Ever since I was very young I was able to empirically understand the performance and processes of manual labor which was conducted with absolute precision and diligence, as I watched my parents work in the field of haute couture.

  

In 2006 I started working for a special construction, architectural mockups and interior design company. In this context emerged for me the need to familiarize myself with the design of objects before their construction. This prompted me to expand my knowledge in design by choosing to study in the field of Industrial & Product Design of AKTO in the year 2008.

At the same time, I continued working in construction in the area of advertising and film industry, participating in major Greek and international productions. Due to the high requirements for speed and given that the projects were completely different each time, my working experience in this field has offered me knowledge as regards the properties and use of many materials, as well as production methods. Additionally, it helped me obtain flexibility when solving specific problems arising in the course of a project.

 

The way I treat every design project begins with the original display through sketches and continues with the parallel construction of working mockups in a scale which offers a natural three-dimensional representation of the object. Through the dialectical relationship of ideas, sketches and models I reach the final idea which is always accompanied by a presentation mockup.

My passion for design and constructions combined with my practical experience in production methods has given me the ability to consistently deliver during all stages of the design procedure up to the production of an object.
