I collaborate with researchers, programmers, and software engineers develop intuitive diagnostic and surgical software with the Fraunhofer Institute for Medical Image Computing (MEVIS).

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive and effective medical software.
- Conduct usability studies of current software in clinical environments (OR, MRI, US, ECHO acquisition, image segmentation, etc)
- Develop wire framing for web based medical imaging tools
- Conduct site visits to gain deep insights surgical and clinical workflows
- Lead interviews with medical staff
- Participate in observations of surgical procedures (cardiac interventions, pre-op exploratory surgeries, lumpectomies, mastectomies)
- Collaborate with colleagues on projects ranging from patient centered platforms for cancer management & education to congenital heart defect surgical workflow and interaction design, to analysis and development of new platforms for patient record and image sharing amongst medical specialties
- Travel frequently throughout the EU & UK to analyze differences in medical workflow and procedures to enable increased workflow efficiency
