I am an engineer making my way in the design world [ and wondering why engineers and designers were not besties in the first place]
I am interested in creating an experience with what I design and develop, and I am not interested in creating pretty designs just for the sake of being pretty. I enjoy the whole process from the inception of the idea, to brainstorming, conceptualization, designing, prototyping, collaborating, and eventually a finalized product/experience/concept/thing. This is the reason why I really enjoy themed entertainment design - its the Vegas of product design, product development and service design. I feel it is the perfect combination of engineering, design, and storytelling, all infused with a constant supply of caffeine. This all ties into service design and interaction design as well. All in all, I believe that these aspects are helping me develop as a young designer and engineer.
