Designer for Skechers Performance Apparel - Men's & Women's.

I started as Head Designer for Ambiguous in 2008. The company was and has remained small in that I take my concepts from ideas all the way to production, getting my hands dirty the entire way. With no tech designer, no product developer or assistant/associate designer, I was involved in every step of the process. Communication is key amongst my cross-functional team along with my vendors on a daily basis. I have done every category at once but have also shared categories with another designer. I am involved in photoshoots, catalog production, costing, buying, trims as well as sales meetings and tradseshows. I have also been to China several times working through the production process.
As the Design Director at Ambig Apparel, I had my hands in nearly every aspect of the business, from costing, and merchandising to marketing, photoshoots and catalogs. I have worked directly with our partners in Hong Kong and Shanghai, visiting factories, fabric and trim markets.

Juniors designer designing Knit tops and bottoms, swimwear and active (lounge). Worked with a support team of graphic designers, technical designers, product developers, buyers and associate designers to build PacSuns private label categories.

Freelanced the Juniors soft accessories. Hats, knitted beanies, gloves and scarves.

Worked various freelance & temp to hire jobs for companies such as Tommy Hilfigger (through Raj Manufacturing), Burton, Sole Technologies and Pac Sun (who hired me on full-time)

Worked as a product developer, merchandiser and design assistant before designing some of my own SKU's.

Assisted Allocations Mgr in allocation specifically for our Canadian warehouse. Also had Canadian accounts and reps.

In charge or benefits administration as well as payroll on a bi-monthly basis.
