Collaborates on design and development of client projects with lead design staff. Models concepts in 3-D using SolidWorks and renders these ideas using a combination of KeyShot and Photoshop. Creates part documentation. Evaluates product viability using aesthetic, functional and ergonomic standards. Produces presentations and print collateral to be shown to clients during design meetings. Presents designs to clients during design reviews. Often lends technical knowledge including, engineering and material science, to help coworkers make more informed design decisions. PRODUCT DESIGN Designs retail displays for each client’s specific needs and creative direction. Produces proof-of-concept models for client presentations and design evaluation.

DESIGN ENGINEERING Creates technical designs and documentation for 3D printed parts, injection molded parts, sheet metal parts, formed plastic parts, CNC machined parts and wooden components. Assembles and constructs prototypes and final retail displays for client evaluation.

DESIGN RESEARCH Interviewed clients prior to their Deloitte Greenhouse innovation workshops to determine their needs and customize the workshop accordingly. Created custom workshop modules to address challenges faced by the client. Assisted lead facilitator during the workshop, and produced a record of the workshop for clients. Interviewed Greenhouse employees and used secondary research to analyze current Greenhouse practices. Presented suggestions to improve best practices to Greenhouse leadership as part of a five-year strategic plan.

CREATIVE FACILITATION Acted as a design thinking subject matter expert within the Deloitte Greenhouse, and suggested new training topics for Deloitte facilitators. Recipient of a Deloitte Applause Award for my work on the Activate project, the first self-directed workshop at Deloitte.

PRODUCT DESIGN Designed retail and trade show displays exclusively for Party City Holdings and its subsidiaries. Met creative direction goals and created displays that met strict shipping and budgetary constraints. Developed designs to meet the usability expectations that final displays require little to no instruction or maintenance.

DESIGN ENGINEERING Created technical designs and documentation for 3D printed parts, sheet metal parts, formed plastic parts, CNC machined parts, wooden display components, and vacuum-formed parts. Prototyped, assembled and installed designs in the field or design studio.

PRODUCT DESIGN Created original concepts for new products and designs. Prepared CAD models for final manufacturing by outside vendors.

PRODUCT DESIGN Managed a multidisciplinary team of 12 students, guided the development of the final deliverable based on the design brief and client feedback. Led refinement of the team’s design strategy and guided the design process to meet project milestones.

DESIGN RESEARCH Designed and led the research phase of the project. Coordinated the collection of passive and active research and drafted research guidelines for the team to follow. Led the research synthesis to highlight design opportunities.

CREATIVE FACILITATION Created content and delivered workshops to introduce students to design research best practices and practical application of design theory.

This is an annual competition where students design and present ideas for attractions for Disney parks based on a general prompt.

My group and I were able to achieve semi-finalist status for our concept of an interactive, low impact attraction in historic Cork, Ireland.

PRODUCT DESIGN Collaborated with client to understand strategic opportunities in the industry and developed HVAC concepts focused on supporting small business owners.

DESIGN RESEARCH Participated in ride-along research sessions with end users to better understand product usage in the field. Created a survey designed to help the team understand industry perceptions of current and future product offerings. Synthesized the survey data to highlight design opportunities, and presented materials to client.
