internshipAuroville Bamboo centerBommayapalayam, IndiaMay 2014 - Jul 2014 (2 months)I was a student intern at the bamboo workshop. I learnt a lot about the properties of bamboo and the different kinds of joineries.Got a glimpse of the various kinds of products that can be made from bamboo - housing walls, fences, jewellery, lighting, furniture etc.

InternshipBommayapalayam, IndiaMay 2014 - Jun 2014 (1 month)I was really honored to worked with Kenji Matsumoto and learnt the japanese principles of design and woodwork. I learnt a lot about the traditional techniques and kinds of wooden joinery. It was not just about making a finished piece of furniture, but to immerse yourself in the process of making. This internship was a completely different experience, he gave a whole new perspective/side to the way of working. I learnt from his values and principles, giving your mind and soul into the work that you do.
