10 Coroflot Profiles That Blow Us Away

Tips and Guides

Once your application to join Coroflot is accepted, the next step is making your profile shine. It may be tempting to just dump all of your work into your portfolio and set it and forget it. But trust us when we say that your profile is not something that should be overlooked. Even if you're already employed, your Coroflot profile is the place to show off your accomplishments and tell the creative professional community what makes you and your work stand out.

Each component in the profile is an important part of presenting yourself, and we recommend taking full advantage. So what's the best way to do that? Instead of going over every detail, we have decided to pick out a handful of Coroflot profiles that take advantage of every feature in their own unique way. Each of these 10 profiles is exemplary in the way we are pulled in by both the quality and variety of the work as well as the summary and credentials. Hopefully these profiles will inspire your own and push you in the right direction if you are looking for a little guidance.

Yasuo Kishibe

Besides the fact that Yasuo's work is super cool, he has clearly inserted detail and personality into his profile. He takes a more personal, light-hearted approach to his background description, his accolades and work history are clearly displayed with detail, and his three work samples capture the spectrum of his design work. His specialties are also mentioned several times, so prospective employers know exactly what they are getting.

Jennifer Garrett

Jennifer keeps her profile succinct and to the point, presenting her areas of expertise alongside a quick personal background. Her work history tells you everything important about her experience, and she even displays her affiliations just above her awards.

Jose Alfonso

Jose gives us an avatar that is both professional and candid. His bio gives us his whole story of where he grew up and how he fell in love with industrial design. The work samples he has are all watches even though he focuses on other kinds of products too, but this works perfectly because it speaks to both his bio and where he is focused professionally at the moment.

Marc Tran

Kicking things off with an inspirational quote (effective if done well), Marc lets us know who he is, what he specializes in, and where he's currently at in his design career. He makes it clear that he is open to new challenges without being pushy and saying "hire me" outright, and he also provides clear links to his personal website, which is always a plus.

Ana Bustios-Tuesta

Ana wastes no time getting right to the point with a thorough description outlining exactly who she is, what she does, and why she is so good at what she does. She smartly includes elements that you would normally see in a resume right in her bio, which fit well alongside her numerous awards and affiliations. Her work samples include three categories, showing potential employers and/or collaborators how diverse her experience is.

Scott Wills

If you're a prospective employer and you come across Scott's Coroflot profile, you will be given everything you need to know within seconds of looking it over. Besides his work samples, which make it clear he's talented when it comes to footwear design, Scott also goes into detail about his skills when it comes to dealing with clients and professional relationships.

Mark Frudd

Mark is an illustrator, and you would probably be able to guess that upon first glance of his profile. He doesn't need to use many words in his bio because everything important here is communicated through the visuals. Even his avatar features an illustrated self-portrait. By the time you scroll down to Mark's work experience, you have everything you need to know.

Enter a caption (optional)

Danielle Malmgren

In the fashion industry, experience and awards are especially important and Danielle puts those front and center in her profile. In addition to her colorful illustrations and designs, you immediately notice all of her awards, as well as her detailed work experience.

Enter a caption (optional)

Diane Benjamine

Diane runs her own studio and she is able to communicate this effectively through her brief bio and her work history, which is focused primarily on listing the type of work she does and a list of notable clients she has worked with. Between her work samples and her client list, you can easily conclude that Diane's skills and interests are focused on packaging and logo design for food and beverage companies.

Olga Cuzuioc Sinchevici

Olga's profile is loaded with awards, extremely detailed descriptions of her past work, and her three work samples, each of which presents a different aspect of her professional experience. Once you go into her portfolio, you also see that she has sorted her projects by category, making it much easier for a potential client to see if she is a good fit for a specific type of job.
