After all, one of the big ideas behind Coroflot has always been our mission to help designers be great and do great things. That means creating better professional experiences for our users around the world by providing them with a tight-knit community to network with their creative peers.
To celebrate two decades as the place where creative professionals can connect with exciting job opportunities, the Coroflot team will be rolling out some exciting changes over the next year. These changes will be big and small, and all of them will elevate the Coroflot experience as a whole. This week we're thrilled to release the first of those changes: the Coroflot application process.
What is the application process and how does it work?
When new users join Coroflot, they will submit their initial information as an application. Each application will be reviewed by the Coroflot team. Yes, real-life humans will be looking over your work! This is a way for us to maintain a high level of quality on Coroflot and also to make the Projects section of the site a more design-focused community for new and existing members. Everyone who applies will not necessarily be accepted. Our team will be looking for applicants who demonstrate a desire to share their highest quality work. If you're an existing Coroflot member, the new process will not change anything for you.
Those joining the Coroflot community for the first time ever will be required to submit an initial application. This will include some basic info about the applicant along with a few samples of his or her highest quality, professional grade work. Once it's submitted our team will review it with a thoroughly developed set of standards. Remember, we expect new applicants to bring their best to the application process, because we know that in the creative professional world, your portfolio is everything. We highly recommend filling out every field with as much detail as possible.
When we began thinking about improving the application process, the goal was to find a way to improve the signal to noise ratio in terms of quality work. Coroflot has always been about showcasing talent that's truly inspiring on a professional level, and the application process is an enlightening way to support that mission.
The new Coroflot application process will benefit our user base of design and creative professionals by providing them with easier access to inspirational work and a highly experienced design community, all the while making them more visible to potential employers and career opportunities. Whether you're a loyal user or a first-time applicant, we think this a perfect time to be active on Coroflot!
