Brad Bissell has over 20 years of experience in the product development industry, specialized in creating the physical interaction, function, value and appearance of products.
He has designed over 100 products; including consumer products, computer systems, medical devices, sports equipment, and furniture. Most of which has been profitably marketed and globally recognized, featuring many projects benefiting from insight into other disciplines.
Digital media work includes user interface/interaction, marketing presentations, web sites, and symbolic language developments. Product branding work includes research, design, and market positioning. Notable are his strategic collaborations with corporate design groups, including a long relationship with Apple Computer.
Design work has been published in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and various industry publications, as well as, included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. He was educated at the Rhode Island School of Design and UCLA, where he graduated cum laude.
Recent product developments include networking equipment, military helmet mounted display, consumer medical products, manufacturing systems, and photo kiosks. Recent product releases include Rock Shox mountain bike forks.
He also has a broad range of management experience in business development, project management, team building, resource allocation, company ownership, and venture partnerships.
Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated strengths in innovative design, creative management, and entrepreneurial drive. As a sole proprietor, the size of the projects he could accept was limited, and by necessity he functioned in many roles.
Mr. Bissell now wants to focus his passion for design on creating innovative user-centered products. He is currently pursuing a key creative role with a multi-disciplinary organization, where he can both work more effectively and contribute to projects of great scope.
