Brian Delaney

As the head of packaging development and design, I get to use all my skills both on and off the computer to turn out the latest and greatest packaging dielines and designs. I have the privilege of using my hands to take what I create in the digital realm and bringing them into physical form. I work with E-Flute corrugate, vacu-formers, creation of positive and negative mold forms, and my custom X-acto knife on a daily basis. I take comfort every night in the fact that I am doing what I was put on this earth to do. I am just fortunate that I work in an industry that allows me to combine my two biggest loves: tools and design. I get to design packaging for the things I love and use on a daily basis.

Mez Design has given me he opportunity to stretch my wings and try my hand at all the disciplines under the graphic design umbrella. I have built Wordpress websites, complete coding in HTML5, and successfully created pixel-perfect mock-ups for the web on the digital side of things. I've created identity systems and press-ready collateral for businesses in a variety of industries. I have the most experience in the print realm. We consistently design and produce print collateral for clients ranging from restaurants to utility companies.

I design and execute all the creative deliverables for a web-based application and game for one of the world's largest companies in the fast food industry.

I work weekends as the assistant manager for the Visitor Services Department at the Botanical Gardens. I answer everything from phone calls to questions and concerns from our guests while overseeing a staff of eight. Customer service, money handling, and spreadsheets/paperwork input are just a few of the skills I have fine-tuned over the years.

Worked on a variety of projects for clients ranging from Procter & Gamble to Disney. I concepted, executed, and delivered projects ranging from illustrations to full-size mock-ups to packages ranging in shape and size. Also created custom dielines for all the Disney CPG skews. Worked on projects where I had to follow established style guides and worked on projects where I was tasked with creating the style guides for a variety of companies.
