Freelance Graphic Designer

ZDA is a small design firm located in Dallas. I began there as an unpaid intern, but after one month the position evolved into a freelance design job. As a Graphic Designer, I worked as a sort of jack-of-all-trades for both the print and web. In my 5 months I worked on the following: logos, maps, banners, email templates, brochures, package design, and website design. Some of our clientele included large corporations such as Sally Beauty and TrintyRail. My biggest project while working for ZDA was designing www.veniquenails.com for Sally Beauty.

Dropclock Productions is an entertainment company specializing in bringing vibrant and immersive dance parties to the DFW area. They host events themed around the music, art and ideas that inspire them. They set themselves apart by pushing creative boundaries across the underground dance music spectrum and through their unorthodox promotions and branding. As one of the graphic designers, I was responsible for producing things such as flyers, posters, and graphic tees.

As supervisor, I led teams of 5 to 10 employees during regular business hours.
I also handled customer complaints and corrected errors made by Front of House Staff. I took inventory on a weekly basis and subsequently placed orders to make sure supplies were fully stocked. During this time, I also adopted the role of Night Manager. It was my responsibility 4 out of 5 nights a week to close the restaurant, making sure it was clean and ready for the next day before finally locking the doors.

The Pub at UT Dallas

The Pub is a small restaurant in the Student Union of the University of Texas at Dallas. As Front of House employees, we were the face of the restaurant. As such, customer service was a primary concern. FOH employees were in charge of working the registers, acting as baristas (The Pub sells Starbucks products), delivering food to the customer's tables, and keeping the restaurant clean and organized.
