As a designer I draw inspiration from anywhere and anything, including my extremely varied and atypical life experiences. My designs tend to be created very methodically and with purpose in an attempt to create a modern design. With an entrepreneurial nature I’m always looking for the newest innovations and technologies to incorporate into my designs. An environmentally conscious person I incorporate green materials and processes into my products.

For two and half months, from September to November, I took a motorcycle trip around the country on a bike I built exploring the world, meeting people and getting life experience.
    • Dream Consultant
      Techshop
      Raleigh, NC
      Jan 2013 - Mar 2013 (2 months)
As a Dream Consultant I was responsible for maintaining facilities equipment, instructing patrons on industrial equipment, and ordering & managing supplies. I also acted as design consultant to clients; helping design, evolve, and fabricate their ideas turning them into reality. While I was a Techshop Dream Consultant I assisted members with in the machine shops (lathe and mill), with welding, powder coating, silicon & urethane mold making & casting. I also assisted with production runs using the CNC & laser cutter. Digitally I assisted clients with computer modeling using SolidWorks, AutoCad and Rhino, as well as rendering using Keyshot, Photoshop and Illustrator. While at Techshop I took it upon my self to stream line material ordering, organization and cataloging, allowing for easier training of new employees and more efficient use of capital. A project I took upon my self was to attempt to sell off extra costly machinery and accessories that had been lying around loosing value, this project would have netted gains in the 10’s of thousands of dollars, if this Techshop had not closed its doors. During my employment at Techshop I was considered a exemplary employee typically working unsupervised and autonomously.

This internship gave me real world experience in managing resources, dealing with clients, and managing time tables for current vs up coming projects.
