First coat of watercolour, on paper, with main outlines drawn with pencil and based on a photography
Close up of the first coats of watercolour, you can see that the paint is still wet.
Building up the shadows and always keeping the light areas intact.
Working more closely with the deeper face lines and shirt folds.
Really seeing now the resemblance.
I tried to keep it more natural and bright pastel. I had to increase contrast and saturation on the digital image to differenciate better lights and shadows.
Almost done here, just a few touches left.
I have added a bracelet, a splash of colour as background so that the portrait stands out and my signature.
