My name is Carmen, I have many interests, but have found that photography has stuck with me longest. It is a way of expressing all of the subjects and ideas that matter to me.
I have always had the goal of being a photographer, but am finding out I have a lot more to offer through other subjects like my continual interest in nature and the past and present environment of our world.
I love collaborating and meeting new people in different fields and finding a common ground. -

I specialize in analogue photography processes as well as macro digital photography. My elective courses in geology peaked my interest to work creatively in the geology department at university.

Study Abroad Studio Art, 3D Digital ModellingGriffith University2015 - 2015I spent my last semester of my undergraduate degree abroad on the Gold Coast, Australia at Griffith University. I have been drawn to Australia for some time because of its wide range of flora and fauna as well as its geological and anthropological history.

PhotographerGeology DepartmentBoone, NCOct 2013 - Jan 2015 (1 year 3 months)I worked as a photographer in the Geology Department at Appalachian State University. There I worked on an ongoing group project of reconstructing and documenting Echinoderm Fossils. This project requires a lot of macro photography of fossils as well as documenting the medium of 3D printed representations that were made by my co-workers by reconstructing the fossils digitally. The photos on this project are what I am featuring here on Coroflot.
