About
Hello, my name is Caroline Bowden. I am an ambitious second year student studying Fashion Promotion. I have a flair for graphics and my strongest asset is my ability to learn new programs quickly and efficiently; my role as a freelance graphic designer for Groovy Juice has amplified my confidence and skills in both Photoshop and Illustrator tremendously. I have a hardworking, dynamic approach to all aspects of my life and thrive off challenging tasks that come my way.
I am an enthusiastic, friendly team player who takes responsibility; I was an active participant on the art committee at my college: planning and promoting an evening to showcase students' art work and designing personal invitations to the mayor and local art galleries. I am both thoughtful and sensitive: I was the official photographer for a charity fashion event at my school in aid of St Ann's Hospice which was supported by Imagine FM. -

Freelance Graphic DesignerUnited KingdomMay 2014 - Present (12 years 1 month)I was approached by a business contact who was launching a new brand of detox juices. The brief was to design the brands logo, bottle design, delivery packaging, graphics for the website, business card, flyers, mail shot and photographing the products for the website. I submitted several ideas and prototypes based on the competitors research I carried out and also from the information I gained from consultation sessions. I also created a storyboard for her use in sale pitches. To produce my designs I used both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop which has amplified my confidence and skills in these programs tremendously. Once the final designs were selected I had to liaise with several printing companies to take my designs from mock-up to production. The product is due for formal launch on (yet to be confirmed) by which stage you can view my designs on the website at www.groovyjuice.co.uk

An example of when I provided great customer service was when I helped a lady with arthritis write out her message inside the birthday card she had purchased from the store.

Voluntary Photographer AssistantKellianne ChandlerManchester, United Kingdom2012 - 2013 (1 year)I used my initiative to contact freelance photographer: Kellianne Chandler so that I could gain experience in my passion for photography. This role enabled me to grow in confidence and develop my interpersonal skills, applying my initiative under high pressure situations. Duties included: the welfare of the models; setting up and packing away the studio; taking behind the scene shots for promotional use and loading Kellianne’s photographs onto her laptop and organising them into folders. I learnt a great deal whilst assisting Kellianne and importantly I learnt how the fashion industry works and how to interact with different people: clients, models, co-workers.

This enabled me to develop my leadership and team player skills as I delegated the other Brownie leaders with roles and responsibilities. I ran a recycled fashion week, where I supervised the girls in making their outfits and put on a fashion show.
