The assignment was to create a floorplan incorporating a mixture of time periods and styles. The requirements were to include antiques and to design a piece of furniture for the space. We were to be able to relate the historic to present day design.
We decided to design a small contemporary cupcakery with Rococo and Neo-Classical design elements. Since this was a dessert destination, we took our inspiration in the form of cakes. Let me tell you, there are some very exquisite cakes that you can research!!

We decided to incorporate the Rococo and Neo-Classical Styles with Louis XV and Louis XVI elements. And hence the name, Antoinette's Cupcakery. The ode to Miss Marie Antoinette herself. We know she loved cupcakes!!
