Planned, coordinated and designed promotional materials (coupons, flyers, email blasts)
Co-interviewed all candidates with the General Manager. Assisted in final hiring decisions.
Trained all new salespeople hired in my locations. Created and conducted a comprehensive three week training course of company policy, selling procedure and product knowledge. Installed huge bulletin board display with visual instructions for sales order creation and alteration, which was referenced multiple times a day by the staff.
Fielded and diffused customer complaints on a daily basis as they arose. Resolutions had to be sorted quickly and in cooperation with service and delivery departments.
Created and maintained schedule for 20+ employees. Responded to employee questions on paid time off, comp days, paid holidays and vacation scheduling within company guidelines. Maintained and approved time clock punches in ADP Payroll biweekly for the entire staff.
Maintained digital KPI scoreboard for salespeople updated daily. Conducted daily sales meetings to set expectations on goals and performance. Provided in the moment coaching for sales staff to improve close ratios, protection percentages and average ticket.

Designed a comprehensive training manual for the company’s DOS-based order entry system (on my own initiative) which was then used as the official training materials for all new hires. The manual included step-by-step guides for using the system with screenshots. This was the first definitive training manual the
company ever had in their 100+ years in business.
August 2015 & December 2015: hosted week long training sessions based on the manual I created.
Trainings were held off-site for 250 sales people for the new Gardiner-Wolf division of the company. There were concerns about the new staff learning the computer system which were abated when executives saw the new training manual.
