I love design. I thrill in creating real products that real people love to use. I am an independent contractor in Houston Texas. I have experience in a wide range of products from baby bath time products to industrial equipment to, most recently, computer products for Hewlett-Packard. I head up the design effort for multiple projects at a time, and work with colleagues from many backgrounds including engineering, marketing, and sales. I collaborate with the engineering team and other designers to find the best design solutions. I am having great success developing exciting designs that get people talking.

Mechanical DesignerRKI Inc.Houston, TXOct 2012 - Apr 2013 (6 months)I used Solidworks to create product designs according to customer and manufacturing needs. I communicated with the on-site manufacturing department to ensure the design intent was met, and excellent products were produced. I collaborated with the engineers and other designers to find the best design solutions. I built scalable, intelligent Solidworks models to be programmed and automated with DriveWorks design software.

Design InternVancouver, WAApr 2011 - Aug 2011 (4 months)I headed up the product design, color, branding, and packaging for four products. I gave formal and informal presentations on the progress of each product almost daily. I participated in weekly collaboration meetings to give direction to a small company. I learned the basics of design in the real world as well as the joy and thrill of creating something delightful. This is where I learned to love industrial design
