Genevieve Lok

My primary artistic passions are comics and illustration, and my goal is to do something meaningful in one or both of those fields. I'm also fascinated with fashion, both current and historical, and collecting books on and researching the subject has been a major personal hobby of mine for about 10 years. I'm currently based between New York City and Vancouver, Canada.

My art program of choice is Manga Studio, however, I also use Adobe Creative Suite frequently and have about 10 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop. I am also in the process of learning Flash. My current hardware setup is a Wacom Cintiq 13HD and a Mac Mini.

I'm primarily self-taught, however, I have taken classes at both NYU and Parsons in painting and comic illustration and studied privately with local painter Kate Heiden for three years.
