My duties included: Cash handling, general cleaning including closing the restaurant, and training new staff. I have attained new skills such as efficient time management whilst also maintaining a high quality of service which the establishment is well known for upholding, this has resulted in an increase in my customer service skills. This lead to my promotion to supervisory standard.
Over the year my experience and knowledge grew to the point where I was left in control of the restaurant on several occasions including such tasks as: organising the staff, closing paperwork, locking up the restaurant and doing all the necessary checks to ensure its safety. As well as closing all tills, daily banking and interviewing/recruiting new staff. Unfortunately if it wasn’t for my return to university, I would be a fully certified manager.
