I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer. In this role, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects – from working on collateral material for marketing campaigns (i.e. letterheads, business cards, etc.) to web design and Search Engine Optimization.
Previously, I worked at an advertising agency for one of the largest direct mailers in the Northern Indiana and Michigan area. I designed the entire layout of the 30 plus page brochure and ads each month. I also created the new “Find the Moon” concept for their cover. I often worked directly with clients, visiting and consulting on location to assist in creating their ads. I learned to work
well under pressure as it was a very fast paced and detail oriented environment with tight deadlines. I moved from the agency because I was presented the opportunity to expand my portfolio in fashion, after winning the US International Competition for Winning Style and was featured in Elle Magazine.
Prior, I worked at North American Signs. At NAS I worked with a design team to produce sign packages for many Fortune 500 clients such as GameStop, Barnes & Noble, Galyans, Express, Bath & Body Works, etc. Our team excelled at establishing priorities and reviewing each other’s work to ensure the highest of standards. We were given projects that included designing store windows, banners, and unique signage. I was in charge of the North American Signs ‘Mass Marketing campaign.’ Later that year, I was promoted to Site Enhancement Services (SES), a different division of North American Signs. At SES, I created artwork for approval of sign codes and landlord criteria. This was a great opportunity because I was able to
collaborate with a team of designers who touched multiple projects with the same degree of priority. In this fast paced environment, we worked to achieve the utmost design quality and creativity for high priority clients such as CVS/pharmacy, Home Depot, Shell, Fidelity, Wells Fargo, and Nissan.
Currently, I am looking for the opportunity to expand my experience and workflow by joining a full-time design team. I would be excited to utilize my skills and experience to help create marketing material to show it.
