Private Dining Room - Spice Temple, Crown Casino, Melbourne - Based on the original Neil Perry restaurant in Sydney this version of Spice Temple was designed to utilise a very different space in Melbourne's Crown Casino - Southbank Promonade. Utilises hand threaded bead screens, chinese text wallpaper and custom lighting to create a dramatic atmoshpere.
Banquette Dining - Obscured glass was used to create privacy between the services area and dining areas - but it still allows for vague movement and silhouetted shapes to connect the two areas. Lighting over the tables highlights the food as it arrives and creates pockets of intamacy between diners.
Balustrade detail - Spice Temple, Crown Casino, Melbourne - Hand threaded beads hang over the existing 'deco-styled' balustrade. Pages of chinese text from old work books were papered to the walls and washed to give a slightly 'aged' look. Lighting was specifically designed to highlight design features.
Private Dining - Spice Temple - Custom chinese text wallpaper, beaded screens and cutom lighting are utilised to create an intinmate dining experience.
