Developed for Librestream Technologies, the Onsight Cube EX industrial wearable camera is a Zone 1, Class 1, Div 1 intrinsically safe multi-mode HD camera for hands-free operation in hazardous environments such as oil refineries, chemical processing plants, gas pipelines, and aircraft refueling stations. It includes two cameras housed in what amounts to a large heat sink, and connectivity components to allow on-site inspectors to share video remotely with subject matter experts.
The industrial design team effort included the entirety of the hardware user experience - including the soft goods solution for wearing it with or without a helmet - as well as travel abroad to collaborate with the client's engineers and present early stage development work to foreign investors.
The camera is currently in production.
