Rubbermaid Butterfly Mop
Product design and development for an articulated, antimicrobial butterfly mop actuated using a shotgun-style pump action.
The development effort began with another, senior industrial designer who utilized an outside consultancy to create an Alias model of his concept; a design which the tooling engineers refused to approve. At that point I was brought on to restart the industrial design; from concept sketches to Class A surfaces for tooling.
This product was developed in-house at Rubbermaid Inc, and was released after my departure. It has since been retired from production.
