Daniel Bell

As part of my diploma in professional studies I worked with Reckitt Benckiser within their New Technologies R&D department. Throughout the year I worked along side several different brands, including Airwick, Vanish, Dettol, and Finish. Across the brands I worked on multiple fast moving projects, where I was able to utilise and develop my organisation, leadership, time and project management skills. My role involved communicating with both internal teams and external contractors on a daily basis, in order for projects to progress quickly and smoothly. Using my initiative was a very important aspect of the job, analysing data, resolving problems and driving projects forward.

I worked during my holidays at an architectural steel fabrication and installation company as a technical assistant in the contracts office, creating technical drawings as well as communicating with the Companies clients, sub contractors and other employees within the business. I also enjoyed assisting in the manufacturing facility, and have learnt many techniques, fabricating architectural metal work from working drawings, using different processes, including flame cutting, sawing, MIG welding and hydraulic punching.
