As a digital designer, I enjoy working with software development and education teams to create engaging, informative and thoughtful experiences. I have an intrinsic knowledge of digital development tools and practices gained through the completion of several software development projects. I consider myself to be a versatile team player who can adapt to the needs of a team or project by drawing upon my experiences as a founder of a games development business. I look to become an influential developer who can help development teams realise their potential.

Masters Games DevelopmentUniversity of Abertay, Dundee2011 - 2012I undertook a professional Masters in Games Development in 2011. The course focused on emulating real-world development scenarios for games development. The course was assessed on your ability to perform your development role (in my case design) and course work was peer reviewed as part of the process. Through the university and its links with Sony Computer Entertainment I was selected to form part of a team to produce a game for the Playstation Vita.

2:1 (Hons) Games Design and Production ManagementUniversity of Abertay, Dundee2007 - 2011I undertook this degree to pursue my passion for games design and development. I was intrigued by games and their construction so decided to formalise my passion for development in a University setting. The course focused on the practical aspects of games design, with attendee's producing small games as part of their final year assessment.

During this time I undertook a plethora of tasks: from administering payroll and managing company finances to travelling worldwide to establish new business connections.

Designer/ProducerDundee, United KingdomJan 2013 - May 2017 (4 years 4 months)Having completed a Masters degree in 2012, I was presented with the opportunity to start my own games development business by securing funding for an original IP via the UK prototype fund. With a small, talented team, I would lead Future Fossil to become a sustainable small business which specialised in the creation of educational titles for mobile platforms. Through my continued passion and vision for software development, the business would go on to secure additional funding for new -prototypes and deliver ‘one of a kind’ educational workshops for partners such as the Princes Trust and BAFTA.
