Daniel Mota Veiga

II am a versatile and passionate Industrial Designer, who combines experience and emotion as fundamental elements of Design Thinking.

Born in Portugal I’ve been fortunate to be fully immersed in many different cultures throughout my career. From Portugal to Germany, Spain, Italy, Taiwan, and the U.S., I’ve been a keen observer of emerging trends in design and consumer experiences, translating them and meaningfully integrating them into new contexts. My broad international experience has also deepened my ability to adapt to different work practices and business protocols.

In my over 10 years of international product design experience, I had the opportunity to work with Italian firms such as I.DE.A Institute, Pininfarina, and Fiat Advanced Design, engaging in a predominantly emotional approach to style and conceptual thinking while learning to translate it and clearly communicate it to other stake holders impacting the quality and success of products and businesses.

Additionally, I’ve held Senior Product Designer posts with Sprint/Nextel and Motorola gaining valuable experience within the culture and practices of corporate design groups working as an ambassador for Brand and Design creating synergies between OEMs and Customer as well as leading projects from concept to market.

Some of my milestones include the development of concept cars for both GM and Fiat Auto, presented at the Geneva and Frankfurt auto shows. Completing product design strategies, road map, and Design lexicon for clients including Boost Mobile, 3M, Ducati, Piaggio and Disney as well as establishing relationships and effective work partnerships between multi cultural teams located across the globe.

My passion for Design, and building powerful Brands is based on strong collaboration between multi disciplinary teams with the understanding that there is extreme value in teamwork and sharing of ideas always maintaining respect for consumers. They are in the end the ones we seek to amaze!
