Daniel So

Residing in Sydney Australia, I was born in Sydney to immigrant parents from Hong Kong. I believe my future was always set to become an Industrial Designer, as I was always intrigued at how objects worked, and from a small age I was constantly drawing cars, drafting floor plans and creating product’s both physically and digitally – design was what I enjoyed and what I always wanted to do.

I graduated with first class honors at the University of Technology in Sydney (2007) with a Bachelor of Industrial Design. Having lived in Berlin Germany from 2016-2021, I also have a master's degree in Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability which was obtained from the Technische Universität (Technical University) Berlin. With more than 14 years of industry experience, multiple design awards and forming my own consultancy in 2010, my focus has always been on developing elegant, highly detailed and functional products. I believe that having a sophisticated understanding of client and consumer objectives is the foundation of the design process, leading to the creation of well directed concepts that are critical in securing work and selling products.
