I work as part of a group of designers focused on creating rich retail environments. We start from scratch, helping to elevate a brand through every aspect of the customer’s experience, from conception to installation. Skills utilized daily include hand sketching and high level concept work, brainstorming, 3D modeling, photorealistic rendering, production graphic creation, client interfacing and design presentation, low level engineering and manufacturing strategy, and coordinating collaboration across inter-departmental teams.
    • Industrial Designer
      Vortex Optics
      Middleton, WI
      Oct 2013 - Nov 2014 (1 year 1 month)
Involved in all aspects of the product development cycle, working as the lone industrial designer situated within the engineering team. I am responsible for entire projects, from conception through to manufacturing. I bridge the gap from marketing to engineering, as well as worked as a liaison between Vortex and the manufacturing partner. Along with these start to finish projects, I also work as a consultant on all new products being developed, from branding to aesthetics. I work to establish and maintain a visual brand language that can carry over between all products in the Vortex Optics line. Other responsibilities include running all 3D printing and prototyping efforts, assisting the graphics team with branding, as well as physical package design.
